Where do we get the license?

To be married in Eureka Springs, you may use a license from any courthouse in the State of Arkansas. You must return the license to whichever courthouse you got it from.

PLEASE NOTE EUREKA SPRINGS COURTHOUSE DAYS HAVE CHANGED.

The Eureka Springs Courthouse is open from 8:30 - 4:30 T - F, 9 - 1 Sat, Closed Sunday, Monday & Holidays & during inclement weather. If it's a long holiday, they do take the extra day. Best to call first & check hours.  479.253.8646

If you wish to obtain a marriage license on Monday, you can get one at the courthouse in the nearby town of Berryville, AR.  It’s an easy 20 minute drive. They are not open on Saturday but they are open on Monday. 870.423.2022

Where can we get married? At any of the free venues in town, at any of several hosted venues in town, or at your choice of lodging. Click here for info on possible sites.

What is your fee? My fee depends on the size of the bridal party & the number of guests, rehearsal, location, etc.

Simple intimate weddings  start at $80 for just the 2 of you. 3-10 people total (bridal party + guests) start at $100.
If it’s just the 2 of you and you hire a professional photographer, they count as guest and the fee is $100.

Some locations require an additional travel fee.

I am happy to take a few snaps with your cell phone or camera when we complete the ceremony.

If you are looking for a professional wedding album, I can recommend a number of excellent photographers.

Do we need a rehearsal? To ensure that the processional & recessional flow well & everyone is comfortably on the same page,  I do recommend a rehearsal if there are more than 6 people total in the bridal party (Usually, that’s the bride & groom & 2 attendants apiece.) Rehearsals are also a great way for bride & groom's family & friends to meet & get to know one another.

However, there are occasions when a rehearsal just isn't possible; let me know if this is the case & we will work out the details.

Smaller weddings (up to 6 in the bridal party) generally do not require a rehearsal. However, if you are more comfortable having one, I am happy to schedule.

Rehearsals must be booked in advance & I charge an additional $50 for up to 1 hour rehearsal.

What do you wear? Unless requested otherwise, I wear a white minister's robe & carry a white iPad for the ceremony.

I also love to be in costume for Halloween if you are having a themed wedding.  Eureka is famous for Halloween celebrations!
