I have my own magical tale of love and romance in Eureka Springs. In 1990, I visited friends in Eureka and rented an apartment for the summer, promptly falling deeply in love with my landlord, Max Elbo, one of Eureka's incredibly talented artists.
By the end of the summer we were engaged; I returned to Redondo Beach, CA, to pack and move! We were married the following summer in a lovely outdoor setting near Beaver Lake.
Today celebrates our 25th wedding anniversary; I look forward to the years to come! Each of the 2000+ ceremonies I've officiated over the last 20 years have enhanced my own marriage.
Inviting couples to make the ceremony "theirs" in any way they choose brings so much richness of spirit to me as well.
I've found Eureka Springs to be the most romantic place I've ever lived. Almost everything about it lends itself to love. The beauty of the Ozark scenery, the pristine waters, the fabulous sunsets, all the marvelous places to stay, super places to eat, fun fun things to do, great music venues, galleries and shops, friendliness of people, true small-town charm . . . I feel very fortunate to reside in such a truly special place.
My love affair with Eureka Springs continues; stay tuned!
